Microwave Emitter

In “Batman Begins”, the microwave emitter is used as a way to get rid of the Scarecrow’s fear toxin in the water supply by vaporizing all the water in Gotham. Sounds like a good idea, right? Obviously not, because our bodies are all made of water. If the microwave emitter were to vaporize all the water in Gotham, you’d also be instantly killing all the citizens of Gotham. I wonder how director Christopher Nolan is going to explain this one, because I’d sure like an explanation as to how an emitter would be able to evaporate all the water in the city without harming any humans or animals in the process. Heck, what about the food supply? I hope you’re packing a bunch of dry, non-perishable food items.
