Celebrities have the ability to both lose and gain weight fairly quickly because of personal trainers and highly trained nutritionists.  Sometimes they do it for a role in a movie or show, and sometimes they do it for their own personal goals.  Either way, there are always some celebs who take it to the extreme– here are 15 shocking celebrity weight changes.

1. Nicole Ritchie

In 2006, the 5’2″ socialite weighed only about 90 pounds—dangerously thin even by Hollywood standards—and sought treatment for her weight issues. Many speculated she was suffering from an eating disorder, although she never spoke openly about it.
