1. Stop comparing yourself to others.
In a world filled with people who can’t find a way to be original and have to copy one another, always take pride in who you are and never be afraid to be yourself. After all, you know what they say about everyone else being taken.
2. Be happy with your body.
Everyone is always self conscious about their size. Some people think they’re too fat and some think they’re too skinny, but instead of worrying about your weight and allowing it to become an obsession, take pride in your body because it’s perfect, no matter how big or small it may be. Don’t let society pressure you into being their version of perfect.
3. Exercise to feel good, not to be thin.
If you feel like taking a jog because it makes you feel good, do it. Jog frequently, jog with your dog, but don’t ever just jog because you’re desperate to lose weight. Exercise is about feeling good, not being the thinnest version of you possible.
4. Spend more time with your friends.
No matter how busy your schedule may be, always find time to spend with your friends. After all, they are the ones who will be there for you long after the working day is done. Go out, do something fun and be crazy. That is what friends are for. Plus, they’ll always pick you up when you are down.
5. Read as much as possible.
Even if reading seems completely nerdy, a book can take you somewhere you’ve never been before. You can go on an adventure, learn something new and just relax simply by reading the pages of a book. Read often and do it for fun.
6. Take lots of pictures to capture memories.
Never let anyone tell you that taking a ton of pictures is silly, because a picture is worth a thousand words and can really bring back memories of places you’ve been, things you have seen or people you may not see anymore. Take lots of pictures, save them in a box and someday, they’ll remind you of the things you once did.
7. Let go of the past. You can’t change it, anyhow.
Never hold on to things that happened in the past, because there is a reason they’re behind you. Be happy with the present and know that everything you’ve been through made you stronger, and able to deal with what is to come so much better.

At the end of the day, your family is going to support you and love you endlessly. If you’re upset with someone, make amends with them and tell them how much you love them, because you never really know when it will be the last chance you have to do so.

Never be afraid to treat yourself. You are your first priority and you should always buy yourself something if you feel that you deserve it, because lets be honest. You do.
10. Laugh at yourself.
Don’t ever be ashamed to laugh at yourself. Laughing is such a tension reliever and if you do something rather stupid, don’t beat yourself up about it. Laugh it off and you’ll feel so much better.

The sunrise, sunset and stars are often something that get taken for granted, but instead of thinking they’re a cliche, look at them and really admire the beauty of the world you live in.
14. Live to please yourself, not everyone else.
Learn to accept the fact that you cannot please everyone in a lifetime. The best thing you can do is please yourself and let the pieces fall as thet will.
15. Pay it forward, because in time, what goes around, comes back around.
Always do something kind for someone else, because there will come a day when you just need a favor or some good karma, and you’ll get it if you paid it forward in the past.
Never be afraid to sing, even if you are not in tune. Singing can relieve so much stress and lets be honest. It’s so much fun. Sing in the car or in the shower and who cares what you sound like. You’re happy and thats what counts.
16. Eat whatever you want.
Everyone tells you that you need to eat healthy, but let’s be real. You only live once and salad gets boring. Eat whatever kind of comfort food you want because at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter. Food is food and you should enjoy yourself.
17. Play with your kids.
Play with your kids and don’t worry about how silly you look or sound. At the end of the day, they are only small once and someday, you’ll look back on the days of flying your children through the air, playing dollies or snuggling up to watch a movie and you’ll be so much happier, knowing your child had the best times with you.
