Perfectly Patriotic 4th Of July Foods

It’s almost the 4th of July, which in the United States, is a celebration of freedom and the nation’s independence.  It’s a time for backyard barbecues, friendly games of football, water games, parades, fireworks and, of course, tons of great food!  Here are 20 perfectly patriotic 4th of July foods.

1. 4th of July trifle

Angel food cake, strawberries, blueberries, whipped cream, and pudding…mmm mmm! I need some of that!

2. Patriotic fruit kebabs

3. “Oh, say can you see, ” chocolate-dipped strawberries

These strawberries are dipped in white chocolate and covered in blue sprinkles at the bottom for a look that’s totally red, white and blue.

5. Parade float salad

Use a cookie cutter to make star shapes out of your watermelon, add some blueberries and you’ve got an easy, delicious summer salad!

Make a rectangular-shaped cake, any kind you’d like.  Cover in white frosting and then put red, white and blue M&M’s on it, in flag shape for a fun and yummy cake!
