Prettier Than Your Average Pony: 15 Cute And Easy Ways To Pull Your Hair Up

Every girl loves a good ponytail.  You feel chic and cool with your hair pulled back.  But, we all have those days when it just doesn’t seem to be working for us.  Or, we want something just a little bit fancier.  You’ve found that here!  Prettier than your average pony: 15 cute and easy ways to pull your hair up.

1. Side pony with a fishtail braid

When you don’t really feel like having a boring ponytail but you want your hair out-of-the-way, this is how you should do it.  Simply pull it to the side, secure it, braid down a fishtail and tie off the ends.

2. Bubble wrap ponytail

This is a fun twist on a classic look.  Pull hair into a high pony and then bubble and secure every few inches.  So cute and easy!

3. Chic low ponytail

Who says a pony always has to be in the middle of the head.  Placing it low makes it look sleek and classy, plus it’s the easiest thing you’ll do all day.

4. Twisted flipped pony

Ok, you guys this one actually so much easier than it looks!  Twist your hair back from the front on both sides until it meets at the back of the head (or to the side) and secure it.  Then pull the ponytail through itself (flip it) and you’re there!  So elegant!

5. Twisted bubble pony

This one is very similar to the bubble pony but you twist or braid the hair as you go.  That’s it!

6. Braided pony

This braided pony is all about thick flat braids and teased hair.  It’s flashy and pretty and we really love it.

7. Back and forth pony

We love this simple twist on a classic pony.  Simply criss-cross pieces of hair back and forth and tie off with a ponytail.

8. High and elegant

We love this pretty pony worn by Julianne Hough.  Her bangs are long and elegant and her classically pulled-back pony is just the right kind of wavy.

9. Braid it back

A great way to spice up a ponytail is by adding braids.  Braid two sections of hair and then pull it all back.  Now, you have texture and a pretty pony.

10. Pull it up high

Curl your hair and then pull all of it into a high pony for a look that’s laid back and hot at the same time.

12. Messy bun and add a scarf

You can’t go wrong with this.  It’s the easiest way to keep dirty hair out of your face all day.

13. Twisted crown high pony

Add some va-voom to your ponytail with texture and pulling it back in layers.  All the extra volume will make you look so glam!
