Blue Whale Cancer
In what’s known as Peto’s Paradox, blue whales do not get cancer more often than humans. The reason this is strange is due to the sheer number of cells that a blue whale has compared to a human. Scientists have theorized that larger mammals should be more susceptible to cancer, but there appears to be no correlation between size and instances of cancer.
