Do you ever get sick of hearing people talk about gluten-free, sugar-free, all organic vegan treats their kids are allowed to eat? It’s like, hello, a little bit of sugar and useless carbs isn’t going to kill a kid– as long as you let them run outside and play! If you grew up in the 90’s, then your childhood tasted just like this– 20 things we all ate in the 90’s.
1. Fruit Stripes gum
It was the rainbow flavored gum that tasted delicious for all of two seconds and then it tasted like you were just chewing on nothing.
2. Handi Snacks
Only the best snack creation ever invented. These little things could keep you not only full but occupied for hours while you carefully cover your crackers with spreadable fake cheese.
3. Pepsi Blue
This stuff was only available for a short time, but it was delicious during its run. It was the perfect shake-up to the Pepsi that you knew and loved.
4. Flintstones Push-up Pops
These were those popsicles that you begged your mom to buy while at the grocery store because they tasted so yummy. We can still almost taste them now. We’d totally still eat these.
5. Hidden Valley Ranch
90’s kids ate ranch dress with everything. Even when Hidden Valley came out with these flavored ranch dressings, the original is still the most beloved.
6. Dannon Yogurt Sprinklins
The fun part about this treat was that you never knew what add-in you were going to get until you opened it. It could be sprinkles, it could be chocolate pieces, it could be peanut-butter flavored chips. Exciting stuff.
What kid didn’t want to drink this toxic green sugar rush that was sure to keep you up playing video games all night long?
8. Push Pop
These were fun and delicious! You could push them up little by little so it was like having a sucker that just kept growing.
9. The taste of Lunchables
Even if your mom refused to buy these and packed you a real lunch instead, you still tried to trade with your friends for a few of these. They tasted so much better than a regular little sandwich.
10. Little Debbie treats
You knew it was going to be a great day when you found one of these packed in your lunch.
11. McDonald’s Happy Meals
This was a bygone era when you always got a legit toy in your meal and there was no options of milk or apple slices with it.
12. Pop rocks
It’s like teaching kids to play with crack…only a candy version. Just kidding. These little candies were actually pretty fun to eat!
13. Bubble Tape
This seemed like a great idea by advertisers…but really, you were giving kids a giant wad of gum and trusting them not to chew too much of the sugary stuff at one time. Kids were chewing gum like old men chew tobacco.
These were cute and fun little cookies that got dunked in icing. There was lots of dunking foods in the 90’s.
15. Berry Berry Kix
RIP the greatest cereal there ever was.
The best way to drink sugar water was in a cool plastic pouch.
17. Ring Pop
Because these were yummy and fashionable.
18. Snack Pack
I don’t know anybody who doesn’t like these!
19. Goodies from your Easy Bake Oven
These little instant treats were fun to make and delicious to taste.
A sticky messy gooey snack that you also begged your mom to buy.
